TV repair2After a couple of pilot events at Haregate Community Centre and the Foxlowe Arts Centre, we're delighted to report that the Repair Cafe programme is now up and running, with quite a few happy punters taking away beautifully mended objects.  These range from mended clothes to a clothes line pole to televisions. Repairs aren't always possible but we can refer owners to professional repairers in the area.  The television shown here couldn't be mended but one of our volunteers gave the young couple her recently replaced TV - an example of true community spirit.

These events run once a month, alternating between the two venues.

IMG 20220812 111802We already have 30 people signed up to help with the project, but we always need more - especially on the main steering group to help with things like designing posters and social media.

Please use this form if you would like to register an interest and we can add you to the Repair Cafe mailing list https://forms.gle/jUMMRNuFRNqfKEPQ9

Otherwise feel free to come and join us at one of our events.  The next is at the Foxlowe on Saturday 20th August, 10am - 2pm.

Bring along your broken domestic items and our team of volunteer repairers will see if they can show you how it can be fixed – no charge, but you may have to cover the cost of any spare parts – donations always welcomed.
