Taking Action on Climate and Biodiversity
MCA was set up in 2019 to persuade our district council to declare a climate emergency. We still advocate for action on this and the biodiversity emergency, as well as running our own projects and campaigns.
We aim to help improve the future for Moorlands residents.
MCA is making waves. Why not join us?

The Energy group works to encourage greater use of renewable energy and to help people in the Moorlands reduce their reliance on fossil fuels.

The Nature group explores ways we can help to mitigate climate change and increase biodiversity by conserving and enhancing natural spaces and habitats.

The Sustainable Consumer group aims to raise public awareness of how overconsumption is affecting our planet and how simple lifestyle changes can alter that.

The Transport group supports public transport improvements and encourages more cycling and walking. We support the local 20's Plenty campaign.

The Youth Action group organises climate-related activities for children, encourages their green initiatives and works with schools and youth groups.
